Please join the Ilê De Palmares (IDP) capoeira group for our annual encontro, seminario and batizado (capoeira graduation event) – Ilê De Palmares Batizado festival; with a week’s worth of fantastic workshops and events (Monday, July 28 through Sunday, Aug 3). All capoeiristas are welcome to register for any/all of the workshops and take advantage of the opportunity to learn from IDP teachers and visiting special guest Mestres, Contra Mestres, Professors and Instructors, and play together in the open rodas (circle where the game of capoeira is played).

Pricing + Registration

  • Full Event + T Shirt: $225 ($250 after 07/15; $275 day of)
  • Weekday workshop + roda: $50
  • Saturday workshops + roda: $100
  • Sunday workshops + Troca de Cordão + Roda + T Shirt = $65
  • Single workshop: $40
  • Roda Donation: $10
  • T Shirt: $25 (priority will go to fully registered participants)
